What began as a single gathering of students has grown into a national movement engaging the church, the campus, and the community.
1991
A movement begins
The Impact Movement is born as a national conference — a gathering of Black students hungry to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.
2002
An independent ministry
The Impact Movement, Inc. is established as an independent 501(c)(3) ministry.

Charles & Rebecca Gilmer
The Gilmers help shape Impact into a national ministry engaging the church, the campus and the community.
2015
A new president
James “Jimmy” McGee III becomes President of The Impact Movement, carrying the mission into a new generation.
